Rebranding a Historic Venue for Modern Celebrations
Hemsley House is a historic Masonic lodge in Salford, now operating as a multi-purpose venue for weddings, events and private hire. While the building itself had charm, character and a strong heritage, its online presence didn’t reflect that. The goal was to reintroduce Hemsley House as a stylish and affordable option for weddings and events, without losing the history that made it special.
I designed a new brand identity and built a website that showcased the venue’s spaces clearly and elegantly. The aim was to make the booking process feel simple while highlighting the unique atmosphere and flexibility of the space. From photography and layout to messaging and tone, everything was designed to appeal to modern audiences planning events but still celebrate the building’s heritage.
Since launch, the site has helped drive a significant increase in bookings and given the venue a much stronger platform to promote itself. The new visual identity has helped bring Hemsley House into the present day while respecting what makes it unique.
