Who’s Ross?
I’m a UX/UI Designer and Product Manager with a background in frontend development. I work across the full digital product lifecycle, from early-stage research and planning through to design, delivery and iteration. With a degree in Product Design and a professional diploma in UX, my approach balances creative thinking with practical problem-solving. I care about making things that not only look good, but actually work for the people using them.
Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of sectors including recruitment, security, travel, hospitality, and food and drink. I’ve helped first-time founders bring their ideas to life, supported growing businesses as they scale, and worked with large enterprise-level organisations that need structure, strategy and consistency across teams.
My roles have varied depending on what each project or team has needed. Sometimes I’ve been the sole designer, taking ownership of research, wireframes and final UI. Other times I’ve been part of a larger design team, contributing to established processes and shared design systems. I’ve also led multi-disciplinary teams, working across design, development and delivery to align everyone around a shared vision and keep projects moving.
I’m equally comfortable deep in the detail of a design as I am shaping product strategy, prioritising a roadmap or reviewing a delivery process. My experience in frontend development helps me bridge the gap between design and build, and I work well with technical teams to make sure ideas are practical, scalable and delivered to a high standard.
I’m available for short or long-term contract work, either fully remote or hybrid within Cheshire East and Greater Manchester. Whether you’re looking for support with design, product, or something in between, I bring a flexible and experienced approach that can slot in where it’s needed most.
